Over the weekend we had the GREATEST crew helping us paint the interior of the house, and I do mean ALL of it. My mom, sister Keri, niece Kaitlin and her boyfriend-Jesse, John's mom and sister Jenny, and our friend and Julia's daycare provider-Libby went to TOWN on Saturday and Sunday. I can not tell you how thankful we are that they devoted their time and energy to our once gloomy, now gorgeous house! We had lots of sloppy joes, bars, and pop to keep us going and MAN was it a job.
On another note, we have been waiting to tell my mom that I am pregnant again and due September 25th (SURPRISE IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW). When I told her I was pregnant with Julia she was on her way to Vegas with my dad and I told her over the phone. I really wanted it to be more special this time. Before she got to the house I painted, "Baby's Room" on the wall in the baby's room. I was giving her and my sister a tour of the house as they hadn't seen it before. In each room I had a few strokes of paint that the rooms were to be painted. As soon as mom saw the "baby's room" she said, "Baby's room?" two times before it sunk in. I did have to actually say, "I'm pregnant" before she believed it! It was so fun!
But, anywhoo...I'm a few days late with my blog as we were SOOO busy on Sat and Sun at the house. I am super tired and better get to bed so that daylight savings time doesn't get the best of me.
Talk to you soon!

Coming together....
This week has been a busy one at that Landauer's. John and I went out 2 times in one week. We're pretty sure that has to be a record. We went to the Alanis Morrisette/Matchbox 20 concert at the Qwest center on Tuesday night. While they were both excellent performers, I have a special place in my heart for the forelorn and angry songs of Alanis that I sang along with in highschool and early college. It was incredible, and when I heard "One Hand in My Pocket" I was in heaven. Friday we went to the Mary Our Queen fish fry with some good friends. It's one of me and John's favorite times of the year for sure. Only a 2 hour and 45 minute wait standing in line waiting for some tasty fish...it's been worse in years past!
But, alas our fun takes a new turn this week as we closed on our house on Thursday and are making preparations to move in. The drywall guys were out fixing some screwy walls and ceilings and now it's time to PAINT!
My good friends Erica and Libby went with me to pick out some accessories and paint colors today. It's a good thing that I have friends that were interior decorators in another life! It was a lot of fun after I got over the initial shock of actually spending money on things like rugs and curtains. Usually, I really can't do it, but with the help of my friends we picked out some beautiful things and I am really happy with what we found.
This week we clean and tape and take down wallpaper getting ready for our painting party next Saturday. It should be fun and productive. I tried to attach some pictures of some of the fun stuff we picked out, but couldn't find any on-line pics, darnit anyway! Julia is getting excited to move. Every time we get in the car she says, "Are we going to go live at the yellow house, now?" Not yet honey....
Have a great day!
