Over the weekend we had the GREATEST crew helping us paint the interior of the house, and I do mean ALL of it. My mom, sister Keri, niece Kaitlin and her boyfriend-Jesse, John's mom and sister Jenny, and our friend and Julia's daycare provider-Libby went to TOWN on Saturday and Sunday. I can not tell you how thankful we are that they devoted their time and energy to our once gloomy, now gorgeous house! We had lots of sloppy joes, bars, and pop to keep us going and MAN was it a job.
On another note, we have been waiting to tell my mom that I am pregnant again and due September 25th (SURPRISE IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW). When I told her I was pregnant with Julia she was on her way to Vegas with my dad and I told her over the phone. I really wanted it to be more special this time. Before she got to the house I painted, "Baby's Room" on the wall in the baby's room. I was giving her and my sister a tour of the house as they hadn't seen it before. In each room I had a few strokes of paint that the rooms were to be painted. As soon as mom saw the "baby's room" she said, "Baby's room?" two times before it sunk in. I did have to actually say, "I'm pregnant" before she believed it! It was so fun!
But, anywhoo...I'm a few days late with my blog as we were SOOO busy on Sat and Sun at the house. I am super tired and better get to bed so that daylight savings time doesn't get the best of me.
Talk to you soon!

Coming together....
This week has been a busy one at that Landauer's. John and I went out 2 times in one week. We're pretty sure that has to be a record. We went to the Alanis Morrisette/Matchbox 20 concert at the Qwest center on Tuesday night. While they were both excellent performers, I have a special place in my heart for the forelorn and angry songs of Alanis that I sang along with in highschool and early college. It was incredible, and when I heard "One Hand in My Pocket" I was in heaven. Friday we went to the Mary Our Queen fish fry with some good friends. It's one of me and John's favorite times of the year for sure. Only a 2 hour and 45 minute wait standing in line waiting for some tasty fish...it's been worse in years past!
But, alas our fun takes a new turn this week as we closed on our house on Thursday and are making preparations to move in. The drywall guys were out fixing some screwy walls and ceilings and now it's time to PAINT!
My good friends Erica and Libby went with me to pick out some accessories and paint colors today. It's a good thing that I have friends that were interior decorators in another life! It was a lot of fun after I got over the initial shock of actually spending money on things like rugs and curtains. Usually, I really can't do it, but with the help of my friends we picked out some beautiful things and I am really happy with what we found.
This week we clean and tape and take down wallpaper getting ready for our painting party next Saturday. It should be fun and productive. I tried to attach some pictures of some of the fun stuff we picked out, but couldn't find any on-line pics, darnit anyway! Julia is getting excited to move. Every time we get in the car she says, "Are we going to go live at the yellow house, now?" Not yet honey....
Have a great day!

We Close This Week....yikes!
Well, we close on the new house on Tuesday. When we did our walk-through on Friday we walked in and it was a bitter 32 DEGREES! Luckily, the plumbing has been winterized, but of course we were concerned that the furnace doesn't work now. CRAP! Well, it turns out that the propane tank was empty, thus no heat. So, it looks like we'll be getting a tank full of propane before we move in! Yaaayyy!
When we did the walk-through, Julia told me that the master bedroom is hers. She wants the walk-in closet. I don't think so honey! That's Momma's! She just can't wait to get on the new wooden swing set out there, eventhough it's surrounded by snow.
Next weekend, my good friend Erica is nice enough to pick out paint with me. Most people know that interior decorating is not my forte. It's a good thing I have talented friends to help me!
We are officially having a painting party on March 7-8-9. So far, my sister, John's mom and sisters, and a few other friends are going to come up. There will be lots of pizza and refreshments and thanks for those willing to help!
Have a great weekend and a great next week.

The Landauers
I've decided to start a blog inspired by my good friend Missy Smolek. I so love reading about her adorable little boys that I thought it would be fun to start one for the Landauer crew. We have all just gotten over influenze type A and it is NOT something I would suggest anyone get. We were all down for a week. I hadn't missed that much work in a row due to medical issues since maternity leave.
Julia is such a little stinker and is soooo much fun! She's getting so big and her HAIR (when contained) is just so gorgeous. I hope those curls stay forever! She's definately getting sneaky, too. In the last week she has snuck into our bedroom or the bathroom to eat oreos or fruit snacks! I'm going to have to keep a closer eye on that girl and the snacks in higher cabinets. She's just getting too TALL!
I will attach some photos of Julia with her friends Lainey and Spencer Werts and cousins Grant and Garrett along with some pictures of our new house. I'm going to TRY to do an update at least once a week along with posting recent pictures. However, I am INFAMOUSLY bad at uploading pics (I know being a photographer's wife you'd think I'd be more on the ball).
Have a great day!
